At 6:33 a.m., approximately thirty minutes into our voyage to RV land, I'll be coaxed into my first adult beverage. Nope. My game plan (bottle of water, pomegranate juice, coffee, then alcohol) worked and I didn't have my first Bloody Mary until we hit the pasture parking lot.
I'll find out that KSU fans have regressed to their 1994 never been there before level. Exihibit A. Wrong. There were a lot of individual comments on the way into the stadium, but it was nothing like 1994 in Lawrence. In fact, it was quite a bit better than my 1991 trip. Not quite as cordial as 2003 or 2005. Due to the short trips, I would encourage all KU fans to attend the Sunflower Smackdown each year. Lawrence or Manhattan you've got to see the battle for the Governor's Cup.
A giant "Screw KU" balloon will rise above BSF stadium Wrong again. A wise man once said, "History is in the past."
Mike Rivera will ride his Harley into the stadium I know he did in spirit
KU wins on a 42-yard Aqib Talib field goal but Talib will once again be looked over for Heisman consideration I'll take the game-ending INT and TD reception, but I think Jordy Nelson ran away with Talib's Heisman. Perhaps, Anthony Collins should be our new Heisman candidate
KU's First TD (predictions: Dexton Fields, B-Mac) Jake Sharp would not be denied. No legend this week.
