Three Things You Should Know

1) The Lions beat Northwestern St. last year 31-24 last year. KU opened against Northwestern St. with a 49-18 win last year in Lawrence. The Lions also lost at Texas Tech last year 62-0.
2) Senior QB Seth Rabin threw for 325 yards in last year's final game against Sam Houston St. (23-28 loss). He was 34 for 63 and threw two TD passes. The longest completion of the day -- 19 yards!
3) The Lions play at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, Louisiana built in 1936. Capacity is 7,400.


Interesting
The SE Louisiana football program started in 1930, but it was shutdown after the 1985 season. The program came back for the 2003 season. In 2004, the Lions posted a 7-4 record.
