I might go with the 4 QBs as a whole. There was little to complain about with any of their performances. It was refreshing to see Wilson do so well, I am not as worried about Briscoe as I was a couple weeks ago.

DJ Goodwin comments on Which Player Impressed You the Most at the KU Spring Game?

It's tough for me to get down to one. I lean toward Rell Lewis, but that's more like who was the unknown that surprised you the most. Statistically, Reesing, Sharp and Wilson had the biggest days. Kerry Meier was on cruise control as a WR. That TD catch by Raimond Pendleton might have been the single most impressive play. Chris Harris seemed really active from the nickelback spot. How about a quiet day for the blue seconday -- Anthony Davis, Daymond Patterson and Phillip Strozier? That's actually a very good sign.

The one player that impressed me the most? I guess I'll settle on Rell Lewis, but I'll qualify that by saying there is a whole group of veterans that I just take for granted because they deliver every time they are on the field.

DJ Goodwin comments on Spring Game Notes

Yeah, I had to go back to the DVR because several stories across the 'net had Parrish as a starter, but sure enough, it's Dorsey and Johnson starting the game in blue. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that he is a starter, but I still thought it was interesting.

hiphopopotamus comments on Spring Game Notes

Good stuff.

However, I thought Parrish got the start with Dorsey coming in for a switch later. Am I remembering that wrong? I feel like RJJ is our one sure thing at DT and the rest are interchangeable at this point.

As for angus, I'm starting to think that he might fit in a Brandon Perkins type role. Obviously a lot of time between now and then, but learning a new position - let alone a new side of the ball and one as intricate as LB - in one off-season is pretty tough. But if all he has to do is line up on the edge and go get the guy with the ball on third down, he could be pretty dangerous.

DJ comments on KU Spring Game 2009 Promo Video

I believe the roving reporter from Barnes will be on hand as well, so I think you can expect full coverage in tomorrow's edition of Hawk Digest.

Matt Tidwell comments on KU Spring Game 2009 Promo Video

Oh...what a terrible date conflict to have Spring Game on a holiday weekend. I'm constantly on the lookout for my favorite DE to put it all together and become a force. Loved seeing him track down Chase Daniel before he could escape for what would have been a decent scramble in the second half of the most recent Border War battle.

2) Angus Quigley -- Again, the promise of this type of athlete compounded by a proven desire to deal out punishment is enough to make me lay awake at night in silent anticipation of Saturdays at Memorial. I just want to see any kind of a sign that he is going to be able figure out the mental side of the LB position.

3) Jocques Crawford -- Sure, we have some awesome new talent at running back, but I'll be surprised if JC doesn't take it to another level this year. He's got the raw talent, it's all about picking up on the details.

4) Kale Pick -- If affects the wide receiver this year, but more importantly, I'd like to feel good about the post-Reesing era.
