Inside the Tent: Iowa State Edition
Kansas 45, Iowa State 7
How Does It Feel to be 11-0?
It felt good. A nice way to honor the seniors. We did a little celebrating, but it was under control. We've got bigger fish to fry.
Dexton Loves The Clones ...
and Senior Day. Two years ago he got the game-tying touchdown before the OT win. Yesterday, he kicked things off with KU's first two TDs. Overall, he had 11 catches for 109 yards, plus the two TDs.
B-Mac
I think I've figured out what I like about his style. A lot of backs freeze when they juke. Brandon makes his moves on the go. He's always moving forward. Just a slight shift of the shoulders and he can make somebody miss at least partially. It's a great style because he almost alway gets positive yards.
Chris Harris
I'm starting to feel like he might be our best pure coverage cornerback.
Matt Darton
Looked pretty good playing for Anthony Collins at left tackle. It'll be a mystery all week, but I'd certainly like to see a 100% AC in the line-up next Saturday. Still, Darton looked capable.

#1 (Mizzou Fan) "OU is clearly the class of the Big 12."
Clearly.
#2 (KSU Fan) "Real K-State fans want to lose today, because if we win that means KU wins the north division."
It makes perfect sense.
Great Crowd, But ...
Awesome crowd in the first half, but where did these people have to be on Saturday night? If you didn't stick around for the video at the end, you missed one of the greatest feel-good moments that I've witnessed for KU sports. I spent a lot of the fourth quarter absorbing every detail and thinking about the history ... all of the clashes on the field. The players -- Ray Evans, Gale Sayers, John Riggins, Willie Pless, Tony Sands, Dana Stubblefield, Mark Williams, Moran Norris, Bill Whittemore and thousands more wore the blue and battled in that stadium to get to that moment. Undefeated at home, 11-0. Something never seen in that stadium. Am I going to walk out early to go have a beer? Hell no. There was no other place to be during that time.
On the Video
Some of that stuff seemed like it was ages ago. I forgot all about the 103-yard Talib return. Heck, even the OSU highlights seemed like a distant memory. I guess we're all doing a good job of putting those games behind us and preparing for the next opponent.
Misery
Are you ready for the Blue storm about to be unleashed at Arrowhead stadium? I almost feel like we're cheating because Mizzou and their fans are expecting to see the same KU team they saw last November. You're not going to believe what happens when the Hawks throw their first complete game of the year on the field next Saturday.
