HD Player of the Week: Joe Mortensen

The early thought was Aqib Talib, but it was just too difficult to pass on Joe Mortensen with 13 total tackles with 3.5 of those going for loss. He also forced a fumble and had a pass break up.

Honorable Mention: Aqib Talib (5 tackles, 1 INT return for a 100 yard TD, plus another pass break-up), Mike Rivera (9 tackles, 2.5 for loss, 2 fumble recoveries, pass break up), James Holt (8 tackles, 1 for loss), Derek Fine (7 rec, 70 yards, 1 TD), Todd Reesing (23-37, 368 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT).

Honorable Mention: Kerry Meier's 15-yard reception. Really just the whole K-10 package.

Team of the Week

The Appalachian State win over Michigan is easier to comprehend than the possibility that Syracuse could beat #18 Louisville on the road. It happened and although I have severe disrespect for all things Syracuse, you've got to give them credit for the 38-35 upset.
