KSU Love for Mangino

Just reading between the lines here, but I don't think our friend at Bring on the Cats likes Mark Mangino. Where's the love, man? Mangino and the Hawks just brought instant credibility to the Big 12 North*. Oh well, I suppose I understand. I wasn't exactly best friends with Bill Snyder.

BOTC Excerpt:

Mangino believes that, but for a few 'beaker mistakes, they would have beaten us by more.  I really can't stop laughing at that comment.  It's really funny that Mangino focuses only on his own team's mistakes, and just assumes that K-State played an absolutely perfect game.  You're absolutely right, Mangino.  K-State did not make any mistakes that could have made the game closer, and yet you didn't see our coach making those excuses.

It reminds me of a friend of mine who would get irritated when other golfers complained after rounds that they could have shot a better score if they would have made this putt or that putt, or if they wouldn't have gotten a bad bounce.  He always liked to point out the two 30+ foot putts they made, as well as the ball that was headed for the lake but bounced off the rocks.  Point is, your team will always make mistakes, but so will the other team.

*I guess the mutigers win helped as well with a little respect for the division.

This is absolutely hilarious. The guy refutes Mangino's quote by referring to how crappy K-State is? Well done, my man. I would think Mangino was most likely talking about the freak interception that resulted in State getting the ball inside the 15. Oh, and they needed a trick play to actually get the ball in the end zone.

And then when he lists KU's non conf opponents underneath Mangino's quote about no one remembering who you play in Sept...what are the odds he had to look those up?

I will say this -- he has me interested in going back to watch the game again on my DVR (if I can take some time out from watching the Orange Bowl on a constant loop), because I guess I remember my trip to Manhattan a little differently.
