HD Editor Cameo Appearance | Okay, I was watching the above video for about the third time last night in order to finally see the thing all the way through. We get to the Iowa State game and the it's winding down toward the end of the game and 11-0. I say to the wife, "that moment is so vivid for me."

And right at that time, I realize we are in the video. Your clue is -- Undefeated Lives Here. I'm not sure that there is anyway I could be more pleased right now.

Gonna Be A Hornet | KUsports.com reports that freshmen running back Brian Murphy (5-8/163) will transfer to Emporia State. The article indicates that he was looking for more immediate playing time. Indeed, the position has become a litte crowded:

Brother Will Stay | The indication is that DB Ryan Murphy will stay with KU and with the recent loss of Anthony Webb he could be a factor at CB for 2008. Ryan was rated as a 4-star recruit for the 2007 KU class. Brian was rated as a 2-star running back.

Aside from the part that shows you, what did you think about the video? I was extremely disapointed in it in just about every aspect. The narrator was extremely boring to listen to and showed no emotion. Absolutely no players or coaches were interviewed about any of the game situations or the season in general. Didn't even put the highlights in of the Orange Bowl, with the exception of about 45 seconds of random footage in the bonus features. Its obvious that this video was just thrown together without any serious effort and it appears most of it was thrown together before the Orange Bowl.
If you've seen the 95 video or the basketball video for this years team, the contrast is just so ridiculous. I actually lost my copy of this years KU Football video but don't even care if it turns up and have no intention of buying another one.

I think they left the Orange Bowl out so they could sell that DVD separately. You're right though, I could have gone for some player interviews/coach interviews. Even the postgame stuff we saw during the year, mixed in with a little new stuff. Fan interviews would have been good as well.

A Season in Review might be too ambitious for a title. Probably "2007 Highlights" would be more accurate.

I have the 1995 tape as well. It's definitely superior.
