KU FOOTBALL OPEN PRACTIC REPORT #3

Here are my play-by-play notes from the 11v11 last Friday (accuracy is definitely not guaranteed):

From the 40-yard line

• Stuckey intercepts Reesing after Steward tips the ball (good pass but Steward's position was awkward, tried to make a tough catch tipping it up and Darrell snatched it away)
• Briscoe 40 yard TD pass from Reesing (over Barfield)
• Reesing to Steward (10+)
• Reesing to Wilson (10+)
• Reesing nice dump pass to Crawford - successful yardage
• Reesing to Patterson on a side out (Stuckey coverage)
• Meier to Herford (looked like a sack by Wheeler?)
• Meier to Herford on wr screen during a heavy blitz (TD)
• Meier to Crawford short (likely TD!)
• Meier to Pendleton (incomplete)
• Meier to Lewis (incomplete) Rell came out of the backfield
• Incomplete
• Sharp run
• Pitch out to sharp (buried behind line of scrimmage)
• Reesing batted down by Brorsen
• Reesing to Patterson almost a beautiful deep catch -- Thornton knocked it out
• Sharp slips through for a nice run
• Patterson catches one in the flat
• Quigley good run to the left
• Meier to Brown -- Springer breaks it up
• Meier to Brown (incomplete)
• Defense blows up a screen
• Crawford fumbles
• Reesing to Briscoe (Barfield in coverage)
• Reesing to Crawford for a pass in the flat
• Reesing does a turnback throw with two defensive players charging to Briscoe
• Misdirection run for Crawford -- blew it dead but he didn't go down
• Pick completes 10 yard pass to Foster
• Pick rolls out and hits Patterson late

• Lewis runs for 10 yards on a draw
• Crawford glides right for roughly four yards

• Sharp nothing on the left (Wright in on the play)
• Quigley nothing up the middle
• Lawrence to Quigley (incomplete)
• Lawrence gets high snap completes late to Patterson (excellent catch)
• Quigley tackled by Spears? in the open field
• Reesing to Crawford in flat (5 yards)
• Reesing middle draw (12 yards)
• Reesing to Crawford (would be a TD)
• Reesing to Crawford on shotgun hand off - exchange is bobbled. Crawford keeps ball and gets yards.
• Reesing scrambles and slips
