I believe the story is that during the 2007 game Ralphie was getting ready to run over a nice family of Jayhawk fans, but Todd ran him down, wrestled him to the ground like a steer and well ... needless to say, the family had a nice big Tatonka meal that evening and TR ended up with a really awesome Buffalo-skin jacket.

... at least that's how I remember Jack Arute telling the story. Please correct any details that I may have missed or in-accurately portrayed.

Well, the answer is no, and there is really no story here. However, during the 2007 game in Boulder, Jack Arute reported that they asked the KU team to step back to allow room for Ralphie to come through. Arute indicated that TR stood his ground. Just one of those standard sideline pieces, but I was always hoping the legend would grow into something a little more awesome. I thought I'd throw it out there to see what everybody could come up with.

Ha. I obviously remember the game, but for some reason the Arute line doesn't ring a bell. Male sideline reporters really do earn their salary, eh...
