Right now the logical choice has to be Kale Pick. We'll sign another QB this year, so we've really got the potential to have four guys in the mix with Webb and Matthews. It will be interesting to see how much action they get for Pick in real games this year. I guess I give him the edge just due to the head start he has.
No offense DJ, but if that is your logic, you probably had Meier starting over Reesing in 07. I need to see Kale Pick against someone other than Garden City before I call him a favorite. With the experience Matthews gained QBing in Texas and the fact that Pick missed his senior year, I'm not sure Pick has as much of an advantage as one might first think. Other than high school highlight reels, I havent seen any of these kids under center yet, so I cant give a favorite. All I am saying is I'm not in the tank for Kale Pick.
No, I definitely had Reesing in 2007, but we had the luxury of seeing him against Colorado and in the spring game.
I would agree. It's premature to ask the question, because I haven't seen any of the other guys. Still, I felt pretty good after watching Pick in the August open practice. Right now, it's just a shot in the dark, but my guess at this point would have to be Kale.
I'm with you. There's obviously A LOT of time between now and then, but Pick has to be the favorite at this point. With any luck, we'll get to see why in a few of these non-conference games. And maybe even some in the league, or am I just getting greedy?
